Block 08 Statement
This entry defines the constraints under which remediation and recovery actions are admissible when continuity degradation is detected.
Remediation restores admissibility.
Recovery restores coherence.
Neither may redefine history.
Remediation Definition
Remediation is the constrained action taken to bring a non-admissible state back within continuity rules without altering prior sequence.
- Remediation operates forward only.
- Remediation may not erase or negate prior consequences.
- Remediation does not assert proof; it restores eligibility.
Recovery Definition
Recovery is the reconstruction of a prior coherent state using valid return vectors.
- Recovery must use declared return vectors.
- Recovery may not invent new paths.
- Recovery must satisfy all Constitutional invariants.
Admissibility Rules
A remediation or recovery action is admissible only if:
- the trust chain remains intact,
- references are preserved,
- coherence thresholds are met post-action,
- no retroactive justification is applied.
Actions that “fix” outcomes while violating structure are invalid.
Constraint on Authority
Remediation and recovery may not:
- redefine Genesis definitions,
- override Constitutional invariants,
- bypass Block 05 return guarantees,
- substitute narrative for structure.
Scope of Authority
This block governs:
- error handling,
- recovery operations,
- remediation boundaries.
It does not:
- assert new geometry,
- expand the envelope,
- create new trust.
Immutability Clause
This Block 08 entry is immutable once posted.
Any refinement must be introduced as a new Block 08 entry with a higher sequence number.
Closure
This entry establishes remediation and recovery as constrained, forward-only mechanisms that preserve continuity without rewriting sequence.
