Block 05 Statement
This entry defines the guarantees required to preserve reversibility across admissible transitions.
Continuity is invalid without a guaranteed path of return.
Return Vector Definition
A Return Vector is an admissible, ordered path that reconstructs a prior coherent state without violating Constitutional invariants.
- Return vectors are structural, not procedural.
- Return vectors must be known at transition time.
Guarantee Requirement
For any admissible outbound transition:
- At least one return vector must exist.
- The return vector must remain valid throughout traversal.
- Loss of all return vectors invalidates the transition retroactively.
Reversibility Rule
A transition is reversible if:
- identity is preserved on return,
- meaning integrity is intact,
- traceability is complete,
- consequence monotonicity is maintained.
Partial reversibility is inadmissible.
Envelope Constraint
Envelope expansion is prohibited if return guarantees cannot be maintained.
Exploration without return is non-admissible by definition.
Scope of Authority
This block governs:
- reversibility validation,
- admissible exploration depth,
- rollback legitimacy,
- safe traversal limits.
It does not:
- redefine density (Block 04),
- assert proof (Block 02),
- override invariants (Constitution).
Immutability Clause
This Block 05 entry is immutable once posted.
Any refinement must be issued as a new Block 05 entry with a higher sequence number.
Closure
This entry establishes reversibility as a non-negotiable condition of continuity-preserving navigation.
